The main window is split in three frames:
the large left frame is where you read this. This contains the key or other documentation and is overlaid with images.
The frames are resizable. The upper right frame is the navigation window. Use this to select what is displayed in the main window and index window. Text in this navigation-frame is not changed.
The contents of the lower left frame (window) depends on your selection. At start-up it shows the first file of the key index.

key index

This index contains links to all first key-entries.

family index

This index is the interface to the biodiversity-site and Gymnosperm Database by C.J. Earle on the Internet Family names are sometimes slightly different between Thonner's analytical key… and the biodiversity-site.
In this version 2.1 the family-description overlays the frame of the "keys". Klick on the delete-button ( or type ALT+F4 ) to return to the "keys".

List of families and the split-off families

This HTML-document contains three tables:
The first is an alphabetical list of family names that are either synonyms or split-off families.
The right row is a link to the entry in the second table where the synonyms/kids are gathered. All entries in this second table reefer to the key index.
The third table shows the families on the biodiversity-site not mentioned in the Thonner's analytical key… and these entries are linked to the biodiversity-site.

Netscape 6

Netscape 6 sometimes starts displaying lists right after the hypertext-link, so you have to scroll manually back one line.
